Bernadette Geuy is a design strategist and user experience lead at the University of California, Berkeley, working at the intersection of design, business and technology. Currently, she leads the service design activities for a large scale student systems replacement project, with a focus on transforming student journeys across a complex set of academic, administrative and financial services. She is passionate about designing services that support students' academic successes, and that facilitate good decision-making.
Bernadette is a co-chair of the San Francisco chapter of the Service Design Network, which focuses on strengthening the knowledge and practice of service innovation. Sketching is Bernadette’s superpower and she uses it on a daily basis to problem solve, to facilitate communications, to storyboard, and for fun. Prior to joining UC Berkeley, she worked for many years in information technology and consulting, and in a variety of roles including engineering management, marketing, and business development. Bernadette has an MBA and a BA in communications, both from UC Berkeley.
